How Eldon Day brought The Rodeo restaurant to life

Welcome to The Rodeo!

The owner of The Rodeo Restaurant is Eldon Day. He is a hometown guy born and raised in Okmulgee County. His love of Rodeo started back in 1974 and Steer Wrestling was his event of choice after meeting Roy Duvall. Over the next 20+ years he was the Steer Wrestler and then later became the Hazer. He bought, trained and sold Steer Wrestling horses and won three championships over the years in the CRA, CRRA and IPRA.

After leaving the Rodeo world, he became more of an entrepreneur and wanted to give back to the Okmulgee community. He opened a Mexican restaurant called EL Don's in downtown Okmulgee. After selling that establishment, he returned to remodeling homes in the area before deciding to start another restaurant venture. The Rodeo in Morris was established in February 2021. It only seems fitting that the decor of the restaurant stems back to his love of the sport of Rodeo.

We serve homestyle favorites like Chicken Fried Steak and hot rolls with honey butter, made just the way you remember. You will think you are back at your grandma's table.

At The Rodeo, we keep it simple, good food, done right. Whether you're stopping in for a hearty lunch or a filling dinner, our menu is packed with flavors folks around here know and love.

Please take your time to enjoy all the cowboy and cowgirl photos displayed, as well as the local 4-H and FFA pictures.
